OK – here is the constructive critique. For balance, I suggest the hand to be facing the right if this hand is used. However, I would suggest using a group of hands, reflecting all types of people, young, old, male, female, black and white – there is lots of free stock avail on deviant that you can play with and manipulate – just limit your search to resources – Also, suggest masking the symbols to make them circular and fading the edges a little- squares reflect boundaries; whereas circles reflect unity. Cordie… we are working on your suggestions.
The only thing is that it does have to be a single hand that holds the growing tree… because its that individual person’s commitment to spreading Ubuntu… their own hand.
Though saying that, we have decided to make the race of the hand less… distinguishable as to color.
I like the idea of the circle too… we will definitely do that. Just did it on Vanessa’s blog for the same reason.
I love your input… I think it will make the design richer.

Am on the “Ancient” so can only do so much re design with Gimp – changed header so long will work on that hand some more promise – its in the queue

I hope I haven’t caused too much trouble. I love those circular badges; I wouldn’t worry too much about the hand if everyone else are pleased with it. Is it a man’s hand or female? (lol) If you need any help let me know. I work with photshop, AI, and fireworks – don’t need internet access to work on projects in the evening, but I won’t be able to email or post them until in the morning. Great Job! Thanks!
